Gilbert Dean McKessy

Eaton Rapids, MI.
Mr. McKessy passed
away on August 12, 2010 in Lansing, Michigan at the age of 77. Born April
30, 1933, the only son of Gaylord and Marguerite (Evans) McKessy. He lived
most of his life on the family farm outside Eaton Rapids. A graduate of
the Eaton Rapids High School. He and his father raised dairy cattle, swine
and beef cattle in addition to crop farming. Gilbert had many hobbies
and was a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Experimental
Aircraft Association, Model A Restorers Club, Lionel Collectors Club of
America and the Eaton Rapids Area Historical Society.
He is survived by his aunt, Zoe McKessy of Jackson, cousins, Gerri (John)
Anderson of Chelsea, Nancy Cummings of Clio, and Jelanie Bush of Newago.
In addition, he is remembered by a wonderful group of friends and neighbors
who were extremely helpful and
supportive to him in his later years and especially during his recent
illnesses. The family expresses deep gratitude to the medical staff at
Ingham Medical Hospital in Lansing, McLaren Hospice Services and to all
his loyal friends and neighbors for their expression of support and sympathy.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 2:00 P.M.
at the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Family will receive friends
at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at 2:00
